Donetsk, Feb 2 — DAN. Military construction workers have built another water line in the Donetsk People’s Republic which links Kipuchaya Krinitsa wells and Donetsk’s “Yuzhny” water intake, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
“Defense Ministry military construction complex specialists have completed the construction of a new water line to supply pure drinking water to DPR residents, ” it said.
The construction began in October 2022. Specialists laid a 36-kilometer-long pipeline and developed its infrastructure which includes pumping stations and electrical substations. The new water line will boost the volume of water supplied to the DPR capital to 7,000 cubic meters a day.
After pipeline commissioning, a military construction company will begin to build a water line from the Shevchenkovsky water intake in the Dokuchayevsk district to Donetsk.
Earlier reports said that the Russian Defense Ministry had launched the construction of a water line from the Rostov region to Donbass. DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said that it was planned to launch two water duct pipes by April 1.*jk
