Donetsk, Nov 22 - DAN. The participation of Ukrainian officials in the humanitarian group talks will allow the parties to make headway in the prisoner exchange issue, Donetsk People’s Republic ombudswoman, DPR representative in the humanitarian subgroup Darya Morozova said on Wednesday.
“As of now we have not received a written answer concerning the 174 for 46 prisoner exchange formula voiced by Ukrainian politicians to the media,” Morozova said. “The presence of authorised Ukrainian representatives at the humanitarian subgroup meeting would clarify, at long last, Kiev’s official position on the “all verified for all verified” prisoner swap.”
She added that the DPR position remained unchanged and that Donetsk would continue to insist on the resease of all persons and new prisoner exchange. “I’m calling upon Ukraine to pass from words to deeds, stop delaying the process and regularly send its representatives to humanitarian group meetings,” the ombudswoman said.
The Contact Group will meet for the next round of Donbass peace talks in Minsk on November 22. The DPR representative in the humanitarian subgroup expressed the hope for productive dialogue.*jk
