Donetsk, Sep 17 - DAN. The safety of persons due to be exchanged between Ukraine and the Donetsk People’s Republic will be addressed at the next talks in Minsk on September 18, DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozova said on Tuesday.
Earlier reports said that former DPR militiaman Roman Dzhumayev had been shot and killed in his apartment in Mariupol. Dzhumayev was reportedly on the prisoner exchange list.
“The incident occurred on the eve of the Minsk talks, and tomorrow, I will raise the issue of safety of the persons due to be exchanged,” Morozova said.
The ombudswoman said she would express her concern about other DPR supporters held in Ukraine to Contact Group humanitarian subgroup coordinator for OSCE Toni Frisch.
A new round of Donbass peace talks will take place in the Belarussian capital on September 18. The Contact Group will sum the results following the meetings of the four working groups.*jk
