Donetsk, Aug 27 - DAN. Mixed martial artists from six countries plan to take part in the international MMA tournament Vozrozhdeniye in Donetsk on September 16, the Donetsk People’s Republic Youth, Sport and Tourism Ministry press service reported on Monday.
“The participants are 28 athletes from the DPR, Kiev-controlled areas of the Donetsk region, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Brazil,” the press service said.
The tournament is part of Donbass Liberation Day celebrations, to be held under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme. Sport enthusiasts from the DPR and Kiev-controlled Donbass areas are welcome to come and watch the competition.
In all, 14 fights are expected to take place. Admission is free by invitation. Donetsk and Lugansk regions residents can get tickets at 9 Titov Avenue (Spartak Sport Palace) in Donetsk on showing registered home address. For ticket information call 071-339-45-19.*jk
