Donetsk, Sep 13 — DAN. The opening ceremony for kindergarten No 114 rebuilt with Russian assistance has taken place in Mariupol’s Ordzhonikidze district on Tuesday, city mayor Konstantin Ivaschenko said.

Specialists from Russia’s Tula region have fully repaired its service lines, roof and frontage. They also carried out finishing works in the interior, installed standard equipment and purchased furniture, beds and toys such as educational games and interactive whiteboards. The kindergarten offers 205 places and 11 age groups.

The Tula region taskforce is also rebuilding 16 apartment buildings on the city’s Left Bank and is completing the restoration of the former Mariupol vocational collage whose rooms were used as interim housing.

The rebuilding projects are being carried out at the instruction of Tula region governor Alexey Dyumin. Regional construction minister Konstantin Lopukhov attended the kindergarten opening ceremony on Tuesday.

Earlier reports said that Tula region authorities had opened a mobile humanitarian aid center in Mariupol.
