Donetsk, Oct 3 - DAN. Ukrainian army units on Tuesday morning shelled Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct in the vicinity of Vasilyevka village outside Yasinovataya which supplies water to Ukraine-controlled towns, DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Today, at 9:05 a.m., Ukrainian army units targeted the Yuzhnodonbasskiy pumping station in Vasilyevka, Yasinovatskiy district, with small arms, large calibre machine guns and automatic grenade launchers (AGS), Yakubov said.
A truck carrying a team of workers headed for the scene to effect repairs, came under fire as well. The workers had to quickly take cover in a secure place. There were no casualties. At present, Ukrainian army units are firing at Yasinovataya with small arms and large calibre machine guns.
The Uzhnodonbasskiy water duct is located in the ‘grey zone’ in the vicinity of Yasinovataya. Three pumping stations are linked to the duct; two of them supply water to Kiev-controlled areas. *jk
