Donetsk, Jan 29 - DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled the Vasilyevka pumping station area outside Yasinovataya on Tuesday afternoon, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said.
“At 11:35, Ukrainian army units delivered large calibre machine gun and small arms fire towards Vasilyevka from the Novoselovka-2 settlement,” Yakubov said. “The Vasilyevka pumping station area came under fire; the personnel had to hide in a shelter.”
There were no casualties, he added. The shelling has stopped by now.
The JCCC Said shat it is the fourth strike at the pumping station since the introduction of the “Christmas ceasefire” in Donbass.
The Vasilyevka pumping station is located in the Vasilyevka settlement outside Yasinovataya. It services the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct supplying water to residents on both sides of the contact line.*jk
