Donetsk, Jun 6 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces shelled western Donetsk outskirts the previous evening and during the night, said local administrations.
"Yesterday at 9.00 p.m. Petrovskiy district came under fire. A roof was damaged on Karnavalnaya street, village of Trudovskaya mine. A gas pipe was damaged on Lugovskogo street," Petrovskiy district administration said.
The fire started as the pipe was damaged, it has been extinguished.
Aleksandrovka township came under heavy machine gun fire.
"They fired with heavy machine guns, with explosive bullets. Walls were damaged and windows shattered in a house and household building on Gorkogo street. An elderly woman who was in, was very frightened, but luckily, she is safe," Aleksandrovka administration said.
No casualties have been immediately reported.
This week, western outskirts of Donetsk have often come under Ukrainian forces fire. On July 4 a woman was killed and her eight-year-old son seriously injured, he is still in hospital in critical condition. *ot
