Donetsk, Apr 27 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired at two vehicles carrying Yuzhodonbass Duct personnel on their way to work, Donbass Water water supply company representative told Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“Two vehicles carrying our people came under fire at around 8:15 a.m.; one car sustained serious damage; a bullet grazed a woman: luckily it only tore through her coat. There were no casualties,” he said.
Citing eye-witnesses, the Donbass Water representative said “small arms fire came from the direction of Ukrainian positions.”
The public utility company administration decided to evacuate its personnel from the company premises.
Yuzhnodonbass pumping station is located in DPR-controlled territory next to the “grey zone” in Vasilyevka village area outside Yasinovataya. The number of strikes at the station has sharply increased over the past few months. The facility was heavily shelled in late February. Three direct hits and damage to the administration building walls were recorded.
In the 112 Ukraina live broadcast on April 25, head of Donetsk civil and military administration Pavel Zhebrivskiy expressed regret that it was not possible to halt water supply to Donetsk.*jk
