Donetsk, Jul 20 — DAN. Ukrainian forces fired more about 300 shells on the DPR on Wednesday. DAN presents its evening news summary. Here are the key events so far on Wednesday, July 20.

Fighting and victims

The enemy used Grad MLRS, artillery, grenade launchers and mortars to target Donetsk, Yasinovataya, Gorlovka, and neighbouring townships. Three people were killed in Donetsk and Gorlovka, four others injured, including a 10-years-old. A number of houses, a school, public buildings and a penitentiary were damaged. At least 11,700 households remain without power. The Russia-led coalition has gained control over 255 DPR towns so far, the township of Berestovoye being one of the recently liberated.

Humanitarian situation

A group of Russian constructors and medics arrived to Dokuchayevsk. Sakhalin sent in construction equipment and a Gazel commercial vehicle. A famous Russian performer, Grigoriy Leps has sent in humanitarian aid for newborns, while the Donbass Republic social movement distributes the aid.

International Chess Day was celebrated in the DPR: The Donbass Post released a dedicated series of stamps, friendly contests took place in Ilovaisk and Makeyevka. 150 children of socially vulnerable categories departed on holiday to Ugra. A delegation of freestyle wrestling from Russia headed by a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Artur Taymazov paid an official visit to the Republic.
