Donetsk, Oct 16 – DAN. Some DPR internet providers still face internet connection issues as they have not changed to DPR reserve connection channels, DPR Communications Minister Viktor Yatsenko said.
"In DPR certain internet providers experience internet connection failure, as they still use Ukrainian connection channels, which were disconnected by Ukraine last week. This is an isolated situation," he explained.
"This year, we have urged operators to switch to DPR reserve channels maintained by Ugletelecom, but some had refused."
Currently there are two large cache services in operation in DPR. Those providers using cache services experience no problems; 21 DPR operators use Republican communications including the major operator Matrix.
"At the moment about 20pc of users experience connection failures. It means their operators have to settle technical issues," the minister explained.*ot
