Grabovo (Shakhtersk district), Jul 17 – DAN. A mourning rally of nearly 500 people took place today in Grabovo, eastern DPR, to commemorate the victims of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 crash that happened three years ago.

The head of Shakhtersk town administration Alexey Shvydkiy, first deputy head of Donetsk Republic social movement central executive committee Andrey Kramar, the head of social organization Young Republic Nikita Kiosev were among those who joined the rally.

"Today we came to the site where tragedy had taken place. We ask international investigative bodies to look into this tragic incident. Kiev junta should be held responsible for every person it killed in Donbass," Shvydkiy said.

The participants of the rally held banners urging Ukraine to "Admit its crime" and to "Tell the truth about the Boeing" as they stood for a minute's silence in memory of the crash victims. After that they laid flowers to the memorial erected at the site.

"I can't believe it's been three years since the crime commited by Ukraine's authorities. The Ukrainian armed forces should admit to it," Kramar said.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on 17 July 2014, killing all 283 passengers and 15 crew on board.

The independent joint investigation team (JIT) led by Dutch authorities includes experts from Australia, Malaysia, Ukraine and Belgium, on September, 28 released their interim findings on the investigation. The report claims that MH17 was downed by a missile launched by Buk air defense system brought in from Russia. According to the JIT, the missile was launched from a farmland near Pervomayskoye, to the south of Snezhnoye, which was under control of Donbass militias. So far investigators have not had enough time to analyze Russia-provided data that disproves the findings.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said the objectivity of the findings of an international was doubtful. “Investigation findings presented on the briefing are based on two main sources: Internet and Ukrainian intelligence. Consequently, the objectivity of such data and the findings based thereon cannot but cause doubt”, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the ministry, said. *ot
