Donetsk, Jul 24 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic companies have cleared more than 53 million rubles of salary arrears in the first half of this year, head of the State Inspectorate for Monitoring Compliance with Labour Legislation Sergey Chernobrivets said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“An analysis of the work in the first half of 2018 shows a positive trend; more than 53 million rubles of wage debt were paid,” Chernobrivets said.
Arrangements were made to carry out 420 checks at enterprises over the designated period, including 192 snap inspections. Inspectors issued 328 instructions overall, of which 247 were fully complied with, he added.
“We’d like to pay special attention to the specifics of hiring minors. Under the effective legislation, they have a shorter work week and a longer holiday,” Chernobrivets said.
The State Inspectorate for Monitoring Compliance with Labour Legislation was set up by the DPR head’s decree dated June 4, 2015, by merging separate agencies dealing with state policies in labour relations.*jk
