Donetsk, Apr 2 - DAN. Ukrainian army units shelled the Alexandrovka neighbourhood in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district at night damaging a house, local administration head Konstantin Chaliy told the Donetsk News Agency.

“Today, at around 01:00, Kiev forces opened fire with a large calibre machine gun; the house at 5 Chelyuskintsev Street was damaged,” Chaliy said adding that the roof was seriously damaged.

The shelling also knocked down a utility pole. “No casualties were immediately reported,” the official said.

The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko and supported by the Contact Group for peaceful settlement came into effect in Donbass at 00:01 on March 30. The lull on the frontline did not last long: 9.5 hours later, the first violations of the truce by Kiev forces were recorded. *jk
