Donetsk, Dec 8 – DAN. Greek anti-Nazi activists brought land from Greek town of Sparta to the grave of DPR hero Colonel Arsen Pavlov (best known by his nom de guerre Motorola). The receptacle with Sparta land was delivered to DPR by Dostoyevsky Institute Prof. Maria Kaliba Prifti, an anti-Nazi movement member.
“As you know, Motorola commanded the Sparta battalion, so we decided it would be fitting to have Sparta land brought and laid down here on his grave,” Maria said.
She compared Arsen Pavlov to Sparta king Leonidas who fought for freedom during Greco-Persian wars.
Arsen Pavlov was killed on 16 October, in the blast of an explosive device planted in the hallway of the block of flats in central Donetsk where he lived. Investigation was led by the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of State Security. DPR authorities called the blast a terrorist attack. *jk
