Donetsk, Oct 17 – DAN. DPR announced a three day mourning following the death of Republic's Hero, Col. Arsen Pavlov (code name Motorola), said DPR Head administration.
"A three day mourning is announced by DPR Head's decree dated 17 October 2016, which is to last from Oct 17 to Oct 19 following the death of the Republic's Hero, Colonel Arsen Pavlov," the statement reads.
The decree will be published soon.
Arseniy (Arsen) Pavlov died on October, 16th in the hallway of the block of flats in the center of Donetsk where he lived, in an apparent explosion of an IED (improvised explosive device). DPR People's Council chairman Denis Pushilin, commenting the heavy tidings to DAN, called Pavlov's murder "an act of terror". It is assumed that a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group is behind the atrocity.
