Donetsk, Dec 8 — DAN. Utility companies have restored gas supply to Volnovakha and neighboring settlements with boiler houses resuming operation, District Administration Head Konstantin Zinchenko said on Thursday.
“Today, gas supply resumed to Donetskoye, Volnovakha and Olginka; boiler houses are being launched, ” Zinchenko said adding that he had ordered to begin the heating season.
“We plan to launch all boiler houses and supply heat to residents within three days, ” he said.
There are four warming centers in Volnovakha which are open from 8:00 to 17:00.
Zinchenko told the Donetsk News Agency that a new pipe had been built to restore gas supply to the town. The repairs in Novotroitskoye where gas supply infrastructure was damaged by fighting will be completed later this year or in the beginning of 2023.
Volnovakha operates gas-fired boiler houses. They have been idling as gas pipes were damaged by fighting while repairs were not possible due to the danger of new artillery strile.*jk
