Donetsk, Nov 16 – DAN. Gas line repairs in Sakhanka township in Novoazovskiy district were disrupted by Kiev's shelling, state gas supplier Donbassgas press service said.

"Emergency crews cannot embark on repairs of the pipe as Ukrainian armed forces keep shelling the area. Today workers of Donbassgas Novoazovskiy directory had to flee from Sakhanka area as shelling started."

The press service reported about 50 customers affected.

"Overall there are 375 customers in Sakhanka. About 50 use Donbassgas services as all the others have abandoned the township for security reasons."

Ukrainian forces shelled DPR Novoazovsky district on Tuesday causing massive power outages and cutting gas supply to the area, local authorities said.

For a short period of time power supply was restored to Sakhanka and Leninskoye via reserve lines, though in the night electricity was knocked out again.

In Novoazovskiy district power is on due to reserve lines.

As of Nov. 16, 4 p.m., Sakhanka, Sergeevka, Zaichenko, Kominternovo and Leninskoye are without power and gas.
