Donetsk, Jan 13 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen killed 1,094 civilians last year, the Office of DPR ombudsperson Darya Morozova reported on Friday.

“Ukraine’s armed aggression against the /Donetsk People’s Republic claimed the lives of 1,094 civilians from January 1 through December 31, 2022, ” the report said. “Eight civilians were killed from January 1 through January 12, 2023.”

Thirty-five civilians have been wounded in the DPR since January 1, 2023, Morozova’s Office said.

The armed conflict in the Republic has claimed the lives of 5,452 civilians including 126 children. The figures are reported for the Donetsk People’s Republic within the borders as existed before the beginning of the special military operation.*jk
