Donetsk, Oct 2 – DAN. Eight civilians have sustained injuries by Kiev forces' shelling since the 'school ceasefire' came into force on August 25, said DPR representative in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.

"The 'school ceasefire' came into force in Donbass on August 25 as the sides assumed responsibility to silence the guns indefinitely. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian side keeps shelling DPR towns ignoring the assumed obligations. According to official reports, eight civilians sustained injuries in this period."

In addition, 58 buildings have been damaged.

Overall, Kiev violated the 'school ceasefire' 1,169 times.

The ‘school ceasefire’ has been agreed to by the sides as the new academic year is to begin in Donbass on September 1. It came into force at midnight August 25. It hasn’t proved to be durable, thought in the first hours the security situation along the contact line stabilized. *ot
