Donetsk, Aug 18 – DAN. A thousand and a half houses will be built or repaired for the families who lost their houses during the war, said DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko.

"Currently, the restoration program is ongoing aiming at reconstruction or building 1,500 houses for those people who lost their homes during the war," he said.

"But we plan much more. Though the lack of resources limits us and the progress is slower than we would prefer."

At the moment the reconstruction of a former dormitory and a recreation clinic is being carried out in the center of Donetsk on the premises of Donetsk National University. In the end of the year the residents of a destroyed multi-storied house in the vicinity of the Donetsk airport will be accommodated there.

Earlier Zakharchenko said that DPR authorities had restored over 7,000 residential houses damaged in the military actions. *ot
