Donetsk, Jul 21 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin has signed a decree on Thursday on recognition of the Ukrainian employment record books issued to residents before the liberation of their areas.
“The employment record books with supplementary sheets drawn up in line with laws or regulations that applied in the liberated areas earlier are recognized as valid, ” the decree said.
An employee can request their company to issue a DPR employment record book. A job seeker cannot be denied employment on the ground that she or he has no DPR-style document. Such job seekers give a written explanation of why they have no employment record document and the employer issues a new one to them.
If employees in liberated areas cannot terminate their contracts with companies registered in Ukraine, their contracts are cancelled from the date of the DPR Head’s decree on the establishment of local authorities or inclusion of the settlement in the DPR zone of influence. The decree commits DPR employers to hiring residents with Ukrainian employment record books without requesting the entry on resignation from the previous job.
The document entered into force on Thursday. It applies to legal relations that emerged starting March 3, 2022.*jk
