Donetsk, Feb 7 – DAN. DPR authorities said they would rebuild the multi-story apartment house in Snezhny which was ruined by a Ukrainian airstrike in summer 2014.

“The house in Lenin Street ruined by the 2014 airstrike will be pulled down and rebuilt. Demolition works are underway, I hope the construction will be completed this year,” acting town administration head Andrey Darkovskiy told Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

A plaque with the names of airstrike fatalities will be installed on the rebuilt house, Darkovskiy said.

On 15 July 2014, a Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 fired at least six missiles at Snezhnoye centre. The strike collapsed the entrance lobby of a house in Lenin Street and damaged other buildings in the area. Twelve civilians were killed and about a dozen were injured, including a child. The Ukrainian authorities denied any involvement. *jk
