Donetsk, Jan 5 - DAN. Donetsk Republic (DR) social movement activists called for perpetuating the memory of Colonel Arsen Pavlov (best known by his nom de guerre Motorola) and public figure, a US citizen Elizaveta Glinka (Doctor Lisa), DR Executive Committee head Denis Pushilin told Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“We’ll continue to perpetuate the memory of those who stood up for Donbass residents’ rights this way or another,” Pushilin said. “As for Arsen Pavlov and Doctor Lisa, we deem it our duty to commemorate them.”

The best proposals concerning these projects will soon be made available to the public, he said.

Last year, DR activists installed seven plaques in memory of DPR militiamen and a monument to World War II heroes.

Arsen Pavlov was killed on 16 October, in the blast of an explosive device planted in the hallway of the block of flats in central Donetsk where he lived. DPR authorities called the blast a terrorist attack

Charity activist Elizaveta Glinka (widely known by her nickname Doctor Lisa) sent almost 500 gravely ill DPR and LPR children to Russia for medical treatment. She died in a plane crash off Sochi on 25 December 2016.*jk
