Donetsk, Nov 8 – DAN. Lectures, flash mobs and other public anti-smoking events will be organized in the DPR in November, said the ministry of youth, sport and tourism.
"On November 9-30 lectures, flash mobs and other public anti-smoking events will take place under the humanitarian program for reunification of Donbass people," the press statement reads.
In particular, a round table Healthy Family, Healthy Country will be organized in Novyi Svet on November 14, while public event A Cigarette for a Candy will take place in Kirovskiy on October 16. Gorlovka, Enakievo, Dokuchaevsk are also going to join the fight against smoking.
Every year, on the third Thursday of November, smokers across the world take part in the Smokeout Day following the US Cancer Society initiative since 1977.
On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
