Donetsk, Jan 15 – DAN. The DPR Ministry of State Security (MGB) in 2017 detained 246 people on suspicion of espionage and high treason, the ministry's press service said.
"In 2017 alone, the MGB revealed and detained 246 people suspected of espionage and high treason, 148 of them are state officials who were intimidated into collaboration with Ukrainian special services under threats of death or tortures to them or their families."
Earlier the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko signed a decree temporary banning state officials from travelling to Ukraine citing a large number of cases when DPR residents crossing into Ukraine were recruited by Ukrainian special services. *ot
