Donetsk, Mar 10 – DAN. A DPR service member has been killed as a result of Ukrainian forces sniper fire, said DPR People's Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.
"Daily violations of the Spring ceasefire by Ukrainian forces has led to a tragedy. As a result of sniper fire, a DPR service member was killed."
Basurin has called on international organizations to bring the responsible Ukrainian commanders to justice: commander of 57th brigade Anatoliy Mishanchuk and 42nd separate battalion commander Sergey Averianov.
"This incident will be brought up at the international-level talks," he said.
A new recommitment to the ceasefire in Donbass has come into force on Friday, 1.01 a.m. GMT +3, after the security working group of the Contact Group had agreed to it on the previous day.
At 1.05 a.m. Kiev forces opened 120 mm mortar fire on Alexandrovka, western Donetsk. *ot
