Donetsk, Jan 10 - DAN. A Voda Donbassa public utility employee who was wounded in shelling by Ukrainian forces earlier on Thursday, has been taken to a Yasinovataya hospital, the town administration press service told the Donetsk News Agency.
“Today, a 55-year-old Voda Donbassa employee got a mine blast chest trauma; he was taken to Yasinovataya’s Central Hospital,” a press service representative said.
“His two colleagues suffered concussion but refused hospitalisation,” she added.
Earlier reports said that three Voda Donbass employees had been injured in shelling by Ukrainian forces during a snow clearing operation on the road to the Yuzhnodonbasskaya water duct pumping station. Their ZIL-131 vehicle caught fire and burnt down.
The Christmas ceasefire brokered by the Contact Group has been formally in effect in Donbass since December 29.
On April 17, 2018, Ukrainian army units opened fire at Voda Donbassa cars injuring five Donetsk Water Treatment Plant (DFS) employees. The DPR repeatedly brought forward proposals to put the DFS on the list of Donbass disengagement areas, but Ukraine has not supported them.*jk
