Donetsk, Jun 6 - DAN. DPR justice bodies have begun providing legal assistance to residents of Kiev-controlled territory as part of the Donbass people reunification programme.
Legal counselling is available at all government services centres set up in vicinity of crossing points, the DPR Justice Ministry press service said on Tuesday.
“Justice bodies at the crossing points have arranged weekly receptions of civilians from Kiev-held areas since 1 June to provide free legal services within the scope of the humanitarian programme,” the press service said.
Consultations are offered from 9:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. or later in the day on Mondays and Thursdays. The schedule has not been finalised yet. According to the Justice Ministry, legal assistance under the humanitarian programme will continue until late August.
Ministry officials recounted an episode where DPR legal experts at the Alexanderovka crossing point consulted a Kurakhovo resident over child support payments.
The Donetsk People’s Republic launched the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme on 1 April. DPR opened four welfare and government services centres at the crossing points Elenovka outside Donetsk, Mayorsk in northern Gorlovka, Alexandrovka in western Donetsk and Oktyabr in DPR south. *jk
