Donetsk, Jun 25 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Prosecutor General’s Office said it has filed five criminal cases against Ukrainian army commanders complicit in shelling of DPR areas on June 18-25, the PGO press service reported.

“The investigation department of DPR Prosecutor General’s Office is looking into 18 episodes in five criminal cases covered by Article 229, Part 2 of the DPR’s Criminal Code,” the report said.

Criminal proceedings were instituted against the commanders of 24th and 53rd Separate Mechanised Brigades, 35th and 36th Separate Marines Brigade and 57th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade: Valery Gudz, Andrey Polyakov, Nikolay Palas, Andrey Gnatov and Anatoly Mishanchuk.

Ukrainian servicemen, acting on these officers’ orders, delivered strikes at Donetsk, Gorlovka, Dokuchayevsk, Yasinovataya and southern DPR wounding two civilians and damaging infrastructure in the period from June 18 to June 25, the PGO said.*jk
