Donetsk, Jun 7 – DAN. DPR Prosecutor General`s Office has filed a criminal case against the commander of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army Viktor Nikolyuk, who ordered to open fire on western Donetsk, killing a woman and injuring her son on June 4.
"The Prosecutor General`s Office investigative department filed a criminal case under art.229 DPR Criminal Code (terror act seeking deliberately to kill a person). The defendant is the Ukrainian army commander of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade Viktor Nikolyuk," the Office's press service said.
Prosecutor General`s Office established that on 4 June 2017 the commander ordered to open artillery fire on Petrovskiy district of Donetsk.
The tragedy occurred in the evening as a woman and her eight-year-old son were walking down a street in the village of Trudovskaya mine. A mine exploded next to them killing the woman at the site and severely injuring her son, who had been rushed to a hospital in critical condition. *ot
