Donetsk, Apr 27 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities plan to begin to supply water every other day by the beginning of June and launch daily supply by July, DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said during a “Direct Line” question and answer session on Thursday.

“If no emergency occurs, we’ll increase the water supply period from 17 to 22 hours in the test mode by April 30. As before, water will be supplied once in three days, ” Pushilin said.  “It will help us at the next stages, too: according to preliminary estimates, we’ll be able to switch to alternate day supply within June. By early July — these are tentative dates — we plan to launch daily water supply.”

Pushilin is holding his sixth question and answer session which is being broadcast by social media and DPR television channels. Questions from residents of the DPR and Russia were taken via Telegram-bot. They numbered more than 2,500 overall.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, at the meeting of the Defense Ministry’s Board on December 21, 2022, reported to President Vladimir Putin on the beginning of the construction of the Don — Seversky Donets water duct.  Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that water delivery would begin by April 30. The Military Construction Complex of the Russian Defense Ministry has been implementing the project round-the-clock, without weekend days. The facility will be commissioned in a record short period. Engineers say that it usually takes at least three years to build such facilities. *jk
