Donetsk, Nov 21 - DAN. DPR Pension Fund has paid more than 80 billion rubles ($1,3 bln) to the Republic’s residents since April 2015, the DPR Labour and Social Policy Ministry press service told Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“The Fund has paid 80.8 billion Russian rubles worth of pensions to DPR residents since April 2015,” a Pension Fund official said.
At present, some 680,000 DPR residents draw retirement benefits. The Pension Fund has awarded pensions to 90,000 new recipients since the launching of payments.
The organisation marks its 3rd anniversary on Tuesday. It began to operate on 21 November 2014 as the counterpart Ukrainian organisation in DPR was shut down. The payment of pensions began in April 2015 pursuant to DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko’s decree. *jk
