Donetsk, Sep 3 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities paid 243,000 rubles of financial aid to residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donbass as part of the humanitarian programme over the past week, the DPR Labour and Social Policy Ministry press service said on Monday.

“Thirty-three large families and nine disabled children living in Kiev-controlled areas of the Donetsk region received financial assistance over the past week; they were paid a total of 243,000 rubles,” the Ministry said.

The Donetsk People’s Republic has been implementing the humanitarian programme since February 17, 2017, at the order of DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko. War veterans and World War II disabled veterans are paid benefits in the amount of 12,000 rubles or 6,000 hryvnas, and large family representatives (mother, father, guardian, adoptive parent) bringing up three or more children up to 18 years of age are entitled to welfare payments amounting to 5,000 rubles or 2,500 hryvnas per child.*jk
