Residents of Ukraine-controlled part of the Donetsk region have received more than seven million rubles worth of financial assistance under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme since February 2018,” the Donetsk People’s Republic Labour and Social Policy Ministry press service reported on Thursday.
“Over the period from February 2018, 85 war veterans, 810 large families and 299 disabled children living in Ukraine-controlled areas have received financial assistance worth over seven million rubles in total," the press service said.
The lumpsum benefit for World War II and Great Patriotic War veterans amounts to 12,000 rubles or 6,000 hryvnas; large families and disabled children are entitled to 6,000-ruble (3,000 hryvna) and 5,000-ruble (2,500-hryvna) benefits, respectively.*jk
