Donetsk, Oct 12- DAN. The obstetric aid section of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme has expanded to include gynaecology, DPR Health Care Ministry said on Thursday.

“Due to a large number of requests from women coming over to DPR from Kiev-controlled territory for gynaecological care, the humanitarian programme obstetric aid section now covers gynaecological surgery,” the Ministry said.

Donetsk Republican Centre for Maternal and Child Health Deputy Director Anna Zheleznaya said six women from Kiev-held areas of Donetsk Region had received assistance in gynaecological needs as of today.

On February 17, DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the Donbass people reunification programme. The main goal of the programme is to support socially vulnerable groups. The health care segment of the programme envisions medical assistance in seven fields including obstetrics, chemotherapy and prosthetics.*jk
