Donetsk, Apr 28 - DAN. Four women who are relatives of detained DPR supporters left for Ukraine on Friday to attend the prisoner verification procedure.
DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozova told Donetsk News Agency that according to preliminary agreements, the women’s safety would be ensured by Ukrainian Security Service officers and representatives of OSCE Special Monitoring Mission and Ukrainian ombudswoman Valeria Lutkovskaya’s office.
Ukrainian representatives were to meet the POW relatives at the Maryinka crossing point on the contact line between DPR and Kiev-held part of Donetsk Region.
The DPR militiamen’s relatives will stay in Ukraine for 11 to 15 days.
Verification determines if the prisoners, upon their release, wish to stay in Ukraine or in Donbass republics.
The procedure was discussed for a long time in the Belarussian capital as part of the accords on all-for-all prisoner exchange and amnesty for all Donbass conflict participants. *jk
