Donetsk, Nov 24 – DAN. DPR medics have performed 63 endoprosthesis replacements on hip joints for residents of Kiev-controlled territories of the Donetsk region, said the head of Republican Trauma Center Alexander Kravchenko.
“Our center performs arthroplasty on hip joint within the framework of the humanitarian program for reunification of Donbass people. Since July this year, 63 patients from Kiev-controlled territories have undergone this surgery," he said.
Kravchenko emphasized that the hospital is provided with the necessary equipment and medications to perform high-level operations. Participants of the humanitarian program confirm this:
"The operation has gone well, I feel wonderful. I would like to say that now I am able to move without pain thanks to the humanitarian program. I wouldn't manage myself, as I cannot afford such expenses. I am full of gratitude to DPR authorities for launching the program," said Valentina, a patient form Volnovakha.
On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. Medical assistance is provided as well. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
