Donetsk, Aug 8 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic engineers have designed a project to supply service and drinking water to residents of the town of Snezhnoye from a local colliery.

“We view any colliery liquidated at least five years ago as a potential water supply point, ” Dongiproshakht Design Institute Engineering Research Department Director Anton Sinyavsky said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

The project provides a location for the facilities to treat Miusskaya colliery (Mine No 27) water, the working procedure, staffing levels and characteristics of the water that might be supplied to the population. The cost of the water treatment complex is estimated at 3.5 billion rubles. It will employ up to 50 personnel and meet some 90 percent of Snezhnoye needs for service and drinking water, Sinyavsky said.*jk
