Donetsk, Apr 5 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic specialists have begun to examine residential buildings and social infrastructure facilities in Maripul to assess the possibility of their rebuilding, the DPR Construction and Housing and Utilities Ministry press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“Our specialists have already begun to examine damaged facilities in Mariupol in DPR-controlled areas,” the press service said.
“Physical damage estimates are not ready yet, but we already have an idea of the situation in the city,” a press service representative said.
She added that Ministry officials were meeting later today to discuss Mariupol rebuilding.
Earlier, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said that Mariupol would be fully rebuilt after the liberation from Ukrainian invaders.
Mariupol, the largest city on the Sea of Azov coast is a key Donbass metallurgy centre and seaport. Clashes for Mariupol began on February 25; it was fully blocked in the course of the fighting. The mopping up operation against the Nazi is nearing completion. Various well-informed sources reported that the DPR controls more than 90 percent of the city. On March 31, DPR Head Denis Pushilin ordered to set up the Mariupol administration. *jk
