Donetsk, Aug 17 - DAN. DPR Justice Ministry specialists provided legal advice to 549 applicants from Kiev-held part of Donetsk Region as part of the assistance rendered under the humanitarian programme, the Ministry’s press service reported on Thursday.

“Beginning from 25 May 2017, when the Ministry joined the Donbass people reunification programme, the welfare and government services centres at the checkpoints and hotline operators have taken 549 calls from applicants residing in Kiev-controlled Donbass areas,” the press service said.

The bulk of requests for help came from residents of Slavyansk, Dzerzhinsk, Dobropolye, Krasnogorovka, Selidovo, Artyomovsk, Druzhkovka, Maryinka, Ugledar, Novotroitskoye and Mariupol. Consultations were provided in legal defence, property rights registration, births, deaths, divorce, enforcement of court rulings, etc.

Free legal advice and assistance in drawing documents is available for residents of Kiev-controlled territory via hotline or on the humanitarian programme webpage.

On February 17, DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the Donbass people reunification programme. The main objective is to support socially vulnerable groups of the population. It provides for medical and financial assistance, quotas for higher and vocational education, sport events and measures to preserve spiritual and cultural values which residents of Kiev-held territories are welcome to join.*jk
