Donetsk, Mar 7 - DAN. Acting DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova on Tuesday elaborated upon the Donbass reunification humanitarian programme at a round table meeting at the Federation Council upper house of the Russian parliament.

“Nikonorova focused on Donbass environmental safety issues,” DPR Foreign Ministry press service said. “She warned about a large potential threat of ecological and man-made disasters which might occur in case of incorrect operation of certain production capacities in the former Donetsk Region.

On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the program of humanitarian assistance for residents of Kiev-occupied part of Donbass. DPR and LPR leaders also expressed concern about the condition of key infrastructure in Kiev-controlled territory. Zakharchenko and Plotnitskiy demanded access to ecologically hazardous objects for Republican emergency agencies and humanitarian organizations. *jk
