Donetsk, Mar 16 – DAN. DPR first responders have rendered safe a dozen of explosive objects on the road to Donetsk water treatment plant, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.
"During the route clearing DPR Emergencies Ministry personnel defused one anti-personnel mine, one an 'RGD' hand grenade, six 'VOG' under barrel grenades and an anti-aircraft gun cartridge," the report said.
Yakubov said the safety measures allowed an OSCE SMM patrol to arrive to the water facility this morning.
On March 12 and 13 Ukrainian forces opened fire on Voda Donbass company’s vehicles transporting personnel to the Donetsk water treatment plant. The incident occurred in close proximity to an object occupied by Ukrainian forces. No casualties were reported, though one of the vehicles sustained damage.
DPR representatives in the Minsk talks asked the OSCE to assist in providing security to the plant staff.
The DFS supplies water to both sides of the contact line: DPR-controlled Donetsk, Yasinovataya, the Vasilyevka and Spartak villages, and Kiev-controlled Avdeyevka, Krasnogorovka and the Verkhnetoretskoye village. *ot
