Donetsk, Dec 6 – DAN. DPR hopes that Ukraine will unblock the ‘all-for-all’ prisoner exchange process at the scheduled for December 7 talks, the Republic’s ombudswoman Darya Morozova said.

“I wish to express the hope that Ukrainian representatives brace up for unblocking the exchange process and breaking the deadlock. It all depends on the Ukrainian president’s political will,” Morozova said.

Implementation of Article 6 of the Minsk agreements which envisions release of all illegally detained persons by Kiev remains a key issue on the agenda of the upcoming humanitarian subgroup meeting, the ombudswoman said.

She urged Kiev to carry out the long-awaited ‘all-for-all’ prisoner exchange ahead of the New Year and Christmas holidays.

DPR is fully ready to implement Article 6 of the Minsk memorandum while Kiev continues foot-dragging, she added.

Earlier, DPR envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin extended the hope that such an exchange would take place before the New Year holidays.

After the ministerial meeting in Minsk, German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier said the parties had agreed a large POW swap before Catholic Christmas on 25 December.
