Donetsk, Mar 17 – DAN. Russian officers of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) and DPR mine clearance teams have come under Ukrainian fire in vicinity of Donetsk water treatment plant (DFS), said DPR Operations Commnad.
"At 12.40 p.m. in th sector where repair works are ongoing, DPR Emergency Ministry engineers and the JCCC Russian representatives have come under small arms fire from the Ukrainian positions."
The interlocutor added that mine clearance works are going on in vicinity of DFS.
The situation on the Contact line remains tense; the DFS in vicinity of Yasinovataya has been the area of most intense fighting.
DPR-controlled Donetsk and Yasinovataya and Vasilyevka and Spartak villages, and Kiev-controlled Avdeyevka, Krasnogorovka and Verkhnetoretskoye village depend on the water delivered from the plant. The operation of DFS was halted several times due to shelling. *ot
