Donetsk, Jun 11 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry engineers found and rendered harmless nearly 300 unexploded ordnance pieces in DPR areas over the past week, the Ministry’s public relations and international activity department head Natalia Getova said on Monday.
“The Emergencies Ministry Fireworks Department found and defused 287 pieces of unexploded ordnance over the past week,” Getova said.
Teams of engineers carried out mine clearing operations on 126 hectares of territory, including farmland, and checked 5,000 square metres of indoor space and more than two kilometres of roads, she added.
DPR has been carrying non-stop demining. Hazardous objects include unexploded mortar and artillery rounds, grenades, parts of missiles etc. *jk
