Donetsk, Nov 1 – DAN. The doctors of Donetsk Territorial Medical Unity have carried out 33 free-of-charge surgeries to insert cardiac pacemakers to residents of Kiev-controlled territories under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program, head of the cardiac surgery unit Alexander Kuznetsov  said.

“Thirty three pacemakers have been inserted to patients from Kiev-controlled territories under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program,” he said. “Thirty two have been discharged from the hospital already, one remains in the clinic.”

Just recently a patient from Kiev-controlled part of Donbass, Alexandrovskiy district, received medical aid in the hospital. “I arrived, had a surgery and didn't even have to pay anything,” she said.

On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
