Donetsk, Oct 8 – DAN. The doctors of Donetsk Territorial Medical Unity have carried out 18 free-of-charge surgeries to insert cardiac pacemakers to residents of Kiev-controlled territories under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program, the Health Ministry said.
“Eighteen pacemakers have been inserted to patients from Kiev-controlled territories under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program,” the press statement reads.
DPR residents also receive medical aid in the hospital. A patient from Ugledar, Yuriy, expressed her gratitude to doctors who saved him and said such a surgery would have cost him a lot of money in Ukraine.
On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
