Donetsk, Oct 25 – DAN. Over 170 residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region and DPR have undergone surgeries to insert cardiac pacemakers in DPR Donetsk Territorial Medical Union under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program, head of the cardiac surgery unit Alexander Kuznetsov said.
"Thirty one patients from Kiev-controlled territories received medical aid under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program,” he said. "We also receive a lot of people from the DPR, 145 local patients have undergone surgeries."
Just recently a patient from Kiev-controlled part of Donbass received medical aid in the hospital. "I feel alright, may God help everyone here. I am grateful to the DPR authorities who understand the situation and treat us as their own citizens. We are all from Donbass," he said.
On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
