Donetsk, May 4 - DAN. Donetsk and Gorlovka museums will run exhibitions devoted to the Donbass war and the 72nd Victory Day anniversary on 4-5 May; residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region are welcome, DPR Culture Ministry press service said on Thursday.
“DPR Culture Ministry invites compatriots to visit new exhibitions at Donetsk People’s Republic museums opened as part of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme,” the press service said.
On Thursday, Gorlovka’s museum of arts opened a travelling documentary photography exhibition 70 Years On: Fight Against Nazism Ongoing, prepared by Donetsk Republican Local History Museum. The exhibition addresses recent Donbass events.
On 5 May, Donetsk WW II Military History Museum will open an exhibition of personal items, photos, documents and decorations of local residents who liberated Europe in 1944-1945, and display portraits of Heroes of the Soviet Union who fell in Donbass battles in 1941-1943.
On February 17, DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the program of humanitarian assistance to residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donbass. The main goal of the programme is to support socially vulnerable groups.*jk
